Scorn - Feather
7 years of silence.
7 years waiting.
The master of dark simplicity: beat, bass, drift, drone - Mick Harris has re-engaged with his longest running, primary artist identity, SCORN. His first salvo upon return, the “Feather” EP is anything but light. It is the darkest possible bassweight, a vortex of low frequency into which all light is subsumed.
The 3 entirely separate versions of the title track plumb unknown depths with harried atmospheres, reminiscent of Scorn’s earlier days, a time before bass music became a popular movement and Harris was the absolute pioneer in the genre. Bass weight, dub production technique with multiple delay channels, time and phrase morphology and erupting samples keep all 3 variations differing as they decompose. The final track tells a truth of life: “Whatever Is Touched Turns” and lays it out with pounding multiple basslines and the most punishing kick drum in any Scorn track ever.
Feather is a return to arms for the one referred to as the Dark Lord of Bass. Scorn lives again.

6SiSS - Reforest
IBD001 6SISS - Reforest LP
Exclusive Junodownloads Release: 25/10/2018
Official Release Date: 08/11/2018
The next release put forth by the Intransikbeats collective celebrates the inauguration of its digital release platform that aims to explore and combine different artistic fields and formats with a focus on audiovisual work. The core of the first release grew from a concept-based project called Reforest by the Belgian artist 6SISS. All five original tracks by 6SISS were inspired and named after some of the world's most precious forests and national parks that humans cherish. These productions draw on the primeval power of these natural treasures and channel them into a collection of cinematic soundscapes that are rooted in experimental electronic music. The visual art for this project was created by Natche, who expertly contributed a visual identity to the auditory foundation provided by 6SISS. The original tracks were reinterpreted by the core roster of Intransikbeats with contributions by Nothing Is Real, CRCT-CTRL, Steven Lorenz and the newest addition, our long time collaborator from Italy 'Knobs'. Each of these remixes puts 6SISS's work into new and unique frames that explore different niches of the Techno realm.
All tracks were graciously mastered by Felix Tournier at Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands.

6SISS - Prisma
R&S welcomes Belgium’s Peter Adriaenssens AKA 6SISS, for a four track EP of dark rhythmic techno.
A returning New Beat veteran who started releasing 6SISS material in 2013, Adriaenssens’s music combines driving rhythms with ominous, desiccated field recordings and withered pads that call to mine the Ben Frost’s militant soundscapes.
The foggy atmospherics that pervade make sense when you learn that he often moonlights as a member of a post metal/drone band, creating eldritch soundscapes and drones.
Adriaenssens is a self confessed ‘family man’ which has had a strong impact on his music: “The way I cook food is also the way I make my music – with the ingredients available in the fridge and the sounds available on my laptop.” he explains. “I build layers of sounds and textures, with or without a beat. Don’t search for melodies in my tracks, see them as haunted trips. I’m always inspired by artists who do something different, or sound original like Tim Hecker, Johan Johansson, Mika Vainio
Over the four tracks of the Prisma release, Adriaenssen’s bruising off kilter rhythms stagger and lurch in mesmerising ways that undercut the 4:4 hegemony and are sure to confuse and delight dancefloors in equal measure.
